Firefox on BBC News Homepage
When an
open-source software initiative like
Firefox gains mass media attention (like when
Firefox users worldwide organized for full-page NY Times ad) then millions of users become interested and start using this new product.
Alongside
many other PR initiatives it's good to see that mass media is also covering Firefox. BBC has written a story on the problem on why and how
Websites alienate Firefox usersIt's an interesting article on why despite being outdated, Internet Explorer is still the leading browser used (86% market share). It also explains that by not using
Web standards, IE has been
forcing companies to develop non-valid websites than do not work under the standards compliant Firefox browser.

Anyway, the browser market is changing. Slowly but changing. Firefox is a much more mature browser and with all this media attention the share is rising.
Now, if you want a tabbed browsing, popup blocking, accessible, intelligent and responsive Web broswer, go on and
download Firefox.
